Certificate of a beneficiary of the State old age pension or certificate of a beneficiary of the long service pension (hereinafter referred to as the pension certificate) shall be issued to persons to whom the State Social Insurance Agency has granted the old age pension or the long service pension. The certificate may be requested at the same time when requesting the pension or at any time after the pension has been granted.

Process description

  1. Service requests
A pensioner's certificate may be requested in any Chapter of the SAA by producing a personal identification document (passport or identity card). If the pensioner's certificate is requested by the authorised representative of the person, a mandate shall be submitted.

A photograph of the recipient of the pensioner's certificate (3 x 4 cm) must be submitted.

If the VSAA contains a photograph of the recipient of the pension, the application for the receipt of the pensioner's certificate may also be submitted by post or e-mail, signed with a secure electronic signature containing the time stamp.

When requesting a pensioner's certificate again, the application shall state the grounds for requesting a repeat.

  2. Receipt of services
A pensioner's certificate may be obtained on the spot, presenting a personal identification document and a mandate, if the authorised representative of the person receives the certificate.

If the request for a certificate is submitted in the presence of the SAA, the certificate may also be obtained by letter registered in the mail.
